ANGELO COSTA, R.A. Principal
Angelo Costa has been a practicing registered architect for 38 years. His projects include multi-million dollar institutional, commercial and residential new buildings, renovations, and rehabilitation projects. A majority of these projects have involved close work with City, State, and Federal agencies and the regulations and codes they administer.
As a Senior Partner to COSTA Architecture & Engineering, LLP, Angelo Costa’s passion for architecture and enjoyment of client and contractor relationships is seen in the repeated referrals from clients. Angelo takes great pride in the expertise and professionalism of the COSTA-AE team. He credits this to the staff’s collaboration with each other as well as each member having ownership of their part of this success.
Angelo Costa has won awards and recognition for a variety of projects: from new condominium buildings to public assembly (Buddhist temple and Baptist Church), medical facility interiors, waterfront rehabilitation developments to individual private luxury residences.
Angelo has a thorough knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and specifications. His work has included detailed coordination of all phases of projects from preliminary design through construction documents and field observation. His position requires the technical and management skills necessary to assure successful working relationships between clients, agencies, employees, and consultants.
Angelo has particular expertise in Interim Multiple Dwellings (IMD) and Loft Board coverage and legalization issues. He is the Architect-of-Record for over 50 IMD buildings.
Angelo Costa has also provided expert testimony in various court and arbitration cases.
Education: Angelo was educated at Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York where he received a B.A. in Architecture in 1980. He is a registered Architect in New York and is an active member of the American Institute of Architects and Past-President of the AIA Queens Chapter.
